We are a pioneering ICT4D organization empowering women and girls from marginalized and underserved communities to thrive in the digital economy.

Since our founding in 2001, ACWICT has been dedicated to empowering women and girls from marginalised and underserved communities across Kenya and the broader region through innovative ICT solutions. Our journey has been driven by a deep commitment to bridging the gender digital divide and fostering sustainable development in among women and youth.

At ACWICT, we believe that access to and knowledge of Information and communication technologies (ICTs) is a powerful catalyst for social, economic, and political advancement. Our diverse programs are designed to enhance opportunities for marginalized and underserved women and youth, providing them with the tools and skills needed to thrive in the digital economy. We are proud of the transformative impact we have made – positively affecting the lives of over 400,000 individuals across Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania through our various initiatives. This has positioned ACWICT as a pioneering force in the integration of digital technology for socio-economic advancement of women and youth from marginalised and underserved backgrounds.

Our impact is a reflection of our commitment to driving sustainable change and innovation through technology. Each of our programs designed not just to deliver immediate benefits but to create lasting transformations in the lives of women and youth. Here’s how we are making a difference:

ACWICT further developed training materials for Foundational and Basic digital training curricula, aligning with the government’s goal to impart digital skills to 20 million Kenyans.
