When COVID-19 hit Kenya, the socio-economic impacts were significant, particularly for young people, as unemployment rates soared. To address these challenges, ACWICT, in collaboration with local and global partners, launched the S4E platform. Initially targeting 50,000 women and youth, the program’s success led to additional funding, expanding its reach to 100,000 beneficiaries nationwide.
The S4E platform offers a unique, blended learning approach, combining virtual and e-learning environments. It allows participants to build their skills and attain certifications in various fields, contributing to their economic empowerment and resilience in a post-pandemic world.
